IDREN'S SOCIALIZATION AND BGP IMPLEMENTATION TRAINING IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Semarang, Friday 11 November 2022 The Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) Technical Implementation Unit Team for Information and Communication Technology (UPT ICT) attended an invitation to IDREN Socialization and BGP Implementation Training in Universities throughout Central Java, which took place at the Horison Hotel, Semarang.

In order to realize higher education in Indonesia that is competitive and innovative, at this event the speakers provided history and knowledge about the Indonesia Research and Education Networks (IDREN). In general, IDREN is a special network infrastructure that connects research and educational institutions and communities in Indonesia. This network is dedicated to the data communications connectivity needed to enable a community of researchers, academics and developers to collaborate together.

Infrastruktur jaringan IDREN terwujud berkat dukungan dan kolaborasi antara komunitas industri telekomunikasi (operator jaringan, penyedia layanan internet) yang mengelola konektivitas sampai layer dua (fisik) dan komunitas riset dan pendidikan yang mengelola konektivitas di layer tiga (jaringan), serta dukungan konektivitas menuju REN global (TEIN) dari Kementerian Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi. Dengan konektivitas IDREN ke REN global melalui jaringan TEIN (Trans Euroasia Information Network).
