Yogyakarta, 21 October 2023 - The IT team from Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) has just completed intensive data processing training with a focus on machine learning techniques. This training took place at Sinau Jogja, a training institution in Yogyakarta which is known as a center for developing information technology skills in Indonesia.

This training aims to equip participants with the latest skills in big data processing, statistical analysis, and machine learning modeling. In an increasingly digital world, mastery of technology such as machine learning has become an important asset, especially to support research and development in higher education institutions. With this training, it is hoped that the Polines IT Team can apply new skills in various academic projects and increase technological innovation on their campus.

For several days, participants received learning from experienced practitioners and teachers in the fields of data science and machine learning. Some of the main material discussed includes:

Machine Learning Basics: An introduction to machine learning concepts, basic algorithms, and how to apply them to complex data.
Data Analysis and Pre-processing: Techniques for cleaning and preparing data for input into a machine learning model.
Use of the Python Programming Language: Implementation of various machine learning algorithms using Python, which is currently the main language in the world of data science.
Model Evaluation: How to evaluate the performance of a model. created, and optimized for the best results.
Participants also had the opportunity to practice directly with real data, complete various case studies, and discuss machine learning applications in various industrial and research fields.

Participant Testimonials
According to one team member, this training provided very useful insights. "The training at Sinau Jogja is very interactive and applicable. We understand more about the important steps in processing data, including how to create accurate models for various purposes. We hope we can implement these skills to support innovation on campus," he said.

Implementation Plan at Polines
After this training, the Polines IT Team plans to implement the knowledge gained to develop data-based systems and applications in the campus environment. Some of the projects currently being planned are developing a prediction system for academic needs, analyzing student data, and developing artificial intelligence-based applications that can be used in various faculties.

With the provisions obtained from Sinau Jogja, Polines hopes to be a pioneer in the application of machine learning in vocational education institutions, as well as making a real contribution in improving technological competence in the campus environment.

Sinau Jogja's Support in the Development of Educational Technology
Sinau Jogja also stated its commitment to continuing to provide quality training in the field of information technology, especially in the industrial era 4.0 which really requires mastery of data and artificial intelligence. This institution hopes that more and more educational institutions will collaborate to develop expertise in the field of data processing to be able to compete in the global era.

With the collaboration between Polines and Sinau Jogja, it is hoped that Polines graduates will be better prepared to face challenges in the world of work, especially those related to digital technology and data processing.
